The book I read the last summer was called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain. This book it`s about the life of a little boy called Tom Sawyer, who lived with his aunt and his cousin. He was a trouble-maker, he was very intelligent and crazy. The plot basically is about Tom and one of his friends witnessing a murdered, and how they wanted to help someone that was putted in jail wrong without being guilty and at the same time wanting to capture the murderer. The protagonist is Tom and the antagonist is Injune Jone who is the murderer. It all happens in a small town called St. Petersburg, where theres a river and is close to an island where the story takes place too.
I really like this story because it has a very interesting, dramatic and kind oh horrible theme, that is death, it mixes up the childish way Tom acted at the beginning with the mature way he had to act after he witnessed the murder. The writing of the story was very complicated it had a lot of confusing parts, the language it used was very oldish but obviously because it was wrote in 1876. I will recommend this book to mucho older people, to adults because they will maybe feel more identified with the descriptions in the book and so they will enjoy it.
