“Fu•ture. Noun. A prospective or expected condition, especially one considered with regard to growth, advancement, or development”. I am not used to think of what’s going to happen next. I am a person who acts without thinking in CONSEQUENCES, I have screw it up a lot of times in the past, with my friends, with my family, even with my boyfriend. I usually don’t want to think on what’s going happen next. All my life, society has told me I have to live my present, to enjoy what I’m doing, because “you only live once”. But what happened is that I took that concept of “You could die tomorrow” very seriously, and there are things in life you cannot change and there’s just too much that time cannot erase.
I’m a person, who feels a lot of things, but it is not easy for me to turn those feelings into words, and it’s even more difficult to make people understand what I want to say. Every day from our lives we have to make choices, some of them are easy to take, like “What bra should I use today” but the ones I am referring to are a little more complex. When we make choices we usually think of what’s going to be better for us, basing our reasons on what our parents, teachers, or friends have told us. But sometimes we let ourselves be carried away by the moment, by what the persons who are with us tell us. They want to make us do bad things, and from what we hear from them, we infer, they are good things. So we take that bad choice, and in that moment it felt good. But then, what we didn't expect, happens: the FUTURE arrives to make that bad decision turn into a CONSEQUENCE.
The reason I wanted to write about this is because after taking bad choices, a lot of times, I finally realized that our FUTURE is what really matters. We are living yesterday’s future, and tomorrow’s past. If yesterday we took a bad decision, our present will be full of consequences; if we take a bad decision today our FUTURE will be full of them too. And what I really think is “How can we live happy today if we don’t think about tomorrow?” (We) have to start thinking about what is coming next, if we don’t, (happiness) will become nothing more than a desire, not a feeling anymore.
